When Imam Hussein (AS) was born, Allah (SWT) ordered Gabriel to descend from the heavens with 70 thousands angels to congratulate the Prophet Mohammad (SAAWS). Along the way, Gabriel passed by an island and encountered the angel Futruss, who had been stranded on that island by Allah (SWT) as punishment for postponing an order. So Allah (SWT) clipped one of Futruss' wings and left him on that island, where he worshipped Allah (SWT) for 700 years.

"O Gabriel, where are you going ?" Futruss asked. Gabriel answered: "Allah taalah has blessed his Prophet Mohammad (SAAWS) with a great blessing. So he sent me to congratulate Him for the blessed birth of Imam Hussein (AS) tonight, from Him and from me". Futruss said: "Take me with you and ask the Prophet (SAAWS) to pray for me". Gabriel answered: "Get on my wing". Futruss did, and they continued their way together.

Arriving to the Prophet (SAAWS), Gabriel congratulated Him from Allah taala and from himself, and said: "O Messenger of Allah! There is a brotherhood between me and Futruss, and he asked me to ask you to supplicate Allah for him to heal his wing". Then the Prophet (SAAWS) said to Futruss: "Go to the cradle of baby Imam Hussein (AS), rub yourself on it and embrace it, then go back to your place in heaven".

Futruss walked to the cradle, did what he was told to do, and the Prophet (SAAWS) was supplicating for him. The Messenger of Allah said: "I was looking at his feathers emerging again and growing, and the blood circulating in them, until the broken wing healed and became like the other one completely".

Then Futruss said: "O Messenger of Allah! Your community will kill Him (AS)! And as a reward from me, I promise that I will inform Him about whoever visits Him, whoever says salaam to him, and whoever prays to Him (AS)".

Then Futruss ascended with Gabriel to heaven and returned to his place. Since then, the angels named Futruss "Aateekul Hussein (AS)", which means: the one freed by Imam Al Hussein (AS).
